What The Public Will Experience
The Showcase and Forum is free and open to the public.
Events include the Tech In Tucson Showcase and the Forum on Technology Innovation and Economic Development In Southern Arizona.
We will “show-off” Tucson’s amazing technology companies, showcase technology development at the University of Arizona, and promote Science Technology, Engineering and Math education.
The Showcase will feature 20-30 science and technology exhibits provided by outstanding industry, education and community organizations. Scientists, educators, researchers, engineers, college students, and other area professionals will showcase their research, technology innovations, or STEM education programs and resources. Our featured industries include Optics, Information Technology, Biosciences, Aerospace and Defense, Electronics and Semiconductors, and Environmental Technology/Alternative Energy. Exhibitors will also include representatives from colleges, trade schools and community organizations that provide STEM and other educational opportunities.
Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and Congressman Ron Barber will headline the Forum. They will be joined by tech industry and University Of Arizona executives and innovators to talk about STEM education and how science, technology and innovation creates high paying jobs and drives economic development in southern Arizona.
Adults, high school and college students will get the opportunity to:

Registration - Here is What We Need! Tell Us What You Need?
Exhibitor Registration: If you have not already done so, complete the Exhibitor Registration and Requirements Online Registration Form on this web site. You can access the form from this page, see the link below. It is imperative that you complete this form ASAP to confirm your exhibitor requirements for electric, Internet, number of tables, and any other special requirements you may have. Make sure that the organization name you include is the way you want it to appear on the list of exhibitors. (see link below)
About TEP Facilities
Please remember that we will be at TEP, not a traditional Exhibition Hall. We will have to make arrangements in advance for any special requirements, therefore, it is imperative that you inform us in advance of your exhibitor requirements, especially any special requirements that you may have. We will do our best to accommodate special requirements, however, we may not be able to accommodate all requests. It is imperative that you inform us of your special requirements before the Showcase. We also encourage you to come prepared with your own extension cords and power strips.
Exhibitor and Sponsor Fees
If you have agreed to pay exhibitor or sponsor fees (not required) we will send you an Invoice. Please pay by check. We will not be accepting credit cards.
- No charge for public schools, non profit organizations government agencies and student exhibitors
- Voluntary $200.00 contribution for Industry companies and other private commercial organizations such as private colleges and technical and trade schools
- Exhibitor fees included with sponsorships
- Additional fees may apply for special requirements such as screens
Parking, Loading and Unloading
TEP is located on the corner of E. Broadway and Scott Ave, just north of the
Children’s Museum Tucson.
Please note that the Gem Show will be taking place downtown on this date, which may cause parking problems.
If you have equipment to unload
Use the TEP Service entrance accessible from south Sixth Avenue, just south of Broadway. Look for the Roll-up Door. If you only have small items you can use the pull-out on Scott Ave across the Street from TEP
After unloading, move your vehicle to a parking area downtown. Suggested options:
Children’s Museum Tucson.
Please note that the Gem Show will be taking place downtown on this date, which may cause parking problems.
If you have equipment to unload

After unloading, move your vehicle to a parking area downtown. Suggested options:
- Free parking at all on-street parking meters
- Recommended Parking Garage: Pennington Street Garage at 110 E. Pennington, on the corner of Scott and Pennington (see map below). While the La Placita Garage on the southwest corner of Stone Avenue and Jackson may be a little closer, this garage is also the closest garage to the Convention Center, a major site for the Gem Show.

Other Details
- Check-in: When you arrive at TEP please check in at the Event Registration Desk in the lobby.
- Exhibit Table: We will provide you a 5 x 2 foot Exhibit Table and chairs. This will be an exhibit table only. Pipe and drape will not be provided so there is no backdrop or sides to hang banners.
- Location selection will be first-come-first-served, however, we may need to make adjustments for special requirements and major sponsors.
- Wall hangings are not allowed! You may not hang signs or posters of any kind on the walls.
- Exhibitor Displays: If you have your own booth or display, you are welcome to use it. We will arrange space for you, however, please notify us in advance.
- Internet Access: Wi-Fi Internet Access will be available at no charge. Please be sure that your computers are wireless enabled.
- Electric: Electric will be available at no charge. Please be sure to bring your own extension cords and power strips. Please notify us in advance if you will require electric.
- Special Requirements: If you have special requirements such as extra tables, screens, etc., please let us know ASAP. Additional fees may apply if we have to rent additional equipment. We will do our best to accommodate special requirements, however, please remember that we will be at TEP, not a traditional Exhibition Hall, therefore, we may not be able to accommodate all requests. It is imperative that you inform us of your special requirements before the Showcase.
- Exhibits remain operational during the Forum: The Forum will take place from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. We expect people not will come just for the Showcase and not attend the Forum, so please plan to keep someone at your exhibit.
- Protect Your Equipment: Remember that this event is open to the public. Do not leave your computers and other equipment unattended. If you need to leave your table unattended, please let one of our volunteers know so that they can watch your equipment.
- Logos: Please note that if you are a sponsor your logo will be included on the web site and in our print materials. Please send a logo ASAP to be used for the web and a high resolution logo for print (.jpg or .png preferred
